Cannabis Skin Cream

Cannabis Skin Cream

My cannabis skin cream is a topical that I make from locally grown kush, coconut oil and blends of other essential oils.

I'd been learning about essential oils and their many health benefits and at the time I was starting to make my own thc infused coconut oil for cooking.

So I decided to experiment by adding essential oils and turning it into a sweet smelling topical. I changed it up a few times tweaking the number of drops and types of essential oils until I finally had my perfect recipe.

I love the fragrance. It relieves the fibromyalgia pain in my hands and when I apply it daily it helps keep my bursitis at bay. It makes my skin tingle, puts me into a better mood with a smile on my face.

I can’t tell you if using a cannabis infused skin cream will help ease your pain but I can tell you that it sure helps mine. Worst case scenario, you end up with healthy soft skin.

I've made a cream that helps relieve my husband's knee pain.

Members of the family experience period cramp relief from either of these recipes when applied gently over the painful areas.

Mom's Cannabis Skin Cream Citrus Blend

It took me a few batches to get my personal citrus blend just right. But, what works for me not be exactly right for you.

When you start making your own cannabis skin cream expect to experiment. It's a lot of fun and sometimes you may stumble on a cream that helps in a way that you didn't expect.

I find like with most things canna related, medicinal cannabis topicals work best if they are made specifically for you.

Your own personal recipe if you will.

I started with 1/2 cup of my kush infused coconut cannabis oil. I like to keep some on hand at all times. I also use it for cooking. Click here for the recipe page.

This particular recipe is VERY CITRUSY and quite strong. So it's best not to expose areas that you've applied the canna oil to to direct sunlight. I use it on my shoulders in the morning and at night to help minimize chronic pain from fibromyalgia and bursitis.

I'm not sure why but citrus is playing a big part in making my fibro days more comfortable. I started with lower amounts of each essential oil and worked up to this recipe.

I'd recommend cutting the citrus drops to 10 & the zen to 15 for your first batch. You can always increase the amount of essential oils at any time. Which is just another thing that I love about making your own coconut cannabis skin cream.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup canna liquified coconut oil in jar
  • 20 drops citrus
  • 20 drops eucaliptus lemon
  • 30 drops zen
  • 7 drops wild oregano

For this recipe I used Divine Essences essential oils. You can use your favourites.

Add the citrus blend essential oil, stir gently for two minutes. Continue to add one essential oil at a time and mix thoroughly after each additon.

Why do I use Coconut oil for topicals?

It's great for the skin and it's a healthy oil alternative for cooking. It also has a nice fragrance as a base for skin creams.

I also enjoy making and cooking with other canna infused oils & butter. Every time I make a new batch or cook with my canna oils, I take a bunch of pictures. Slowly but surely I'm compiling them into short videos on a youtube channel.
